St George’s Garage Sale 2011
The air was chilly but with bacon & egg sandwiches at the BBQ and hot scones and coffee inside warmed customers for the St George’s Anglican Church Annual Garage Sale. Held at Hamon Parish Centre on Saturday 25th June this Church fundraiser drew crowds from early morning eager for a good bargain. Outside were plants and cakes and preserves and inside bric-a-brac, books, soft furnishings and craft items. “There were some really nice items th
at went quickly,” said organizer Mrs Betty Gray, “it was so lovely to have such a great response from the community, she said. Monies raised will help to fund installation of much needed air conditioners in the Parish Centre.
